Overview

As a result of the Downtown Ferry Terminal project coming to completion this July, a number of pier and timetable changes are coming into effect from Monday, 5 July.

This is the biggest upgrade to Auckland’s ferry infrastructure and passenger services in more than a century to meet Auckland’s transport needs now and into the future.

Included in the completed works are six new piers (piers 4-9) on Queens Wharf which has prompted a new numbering system from Auckland Transport.

The below table shows the new pier names and pier changes for Fullers360 services:

Waiheke Piers 2B and 2C Piers 11 and 12 Unchanged location, just renamed
Coromandel, Rotoroa, Tiritiri Matangi and Rangitoto Pier 4E Pier 13 Unchanged location, just renamed

Renamed piers in downtown Auckland:

As a result of the six new piers opening, the following timetable changes with additional services will also come into effect on 5 July:

    • Gulf Harbour:
      • Additional 6am sailing from downtown Auckland
      • Additional 6.15pm, 6.45pm and 9.45pm sailings from Gulf Harbour
    • Bayswater:
      • Additional 10.10pm sailing from downtown Auckland (Monday - Thursday)
      • Additional 9.25pm and 10.45pm sailing from Bayswater (Monday - Thursday)
    • Hobsonville Point and Beach Haven:
      • All services will be retimed midweek and weekend  
      • Additional 5.40pm sailing from Auckland to Hobsonville/Beach Haven, weekdays only
      • Additional 6.20pm and 9pm sailing from Hobsonville Point to downtown Auckland
    • Half Moon Bay:
      • Most sailings on this route will be retimed to allow for better bus and ferry connections
      • Additional 9pm sailing from Half Moon Bay, weekdays only
      • Additional 12.30am sailing from Half Moon Bay on Friday night
      • Additional 11.45pm sailing from Half Moon Bay, Saturdays only
